Make Your IRA Contribution Non-Taxable

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

You can make a Charitable Contribution from your IRA

That is not taxed to you.

Here's how you do it:

  1. You must be over 70 1/2

  2. The contribution must be from a regular IRA, not a ROTH.

  3. The contribution must go directly from your IRA to the nonprofit.

  4. On your tax form 1040, you show it as a QCD and deduct it from your taxable IRA distributions.   Not taxed

  5. See your tax professional.

This is a great way to make your charitable contributions.
