What the Bible Says
About Being a Life Changer.

2 Corinthians 9:6-14

6 Remember this—a person who gives only a little will get only a little. But the one who is generous will receive generously. 7 You must decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say,

“They share freely and give generously to the poor.
Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”

Luke 6:38

38 Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”

Luke 14: 12-14

12 Then Jesus said “When you give,” he said, “don’t give to your friends, brothers, relatives, and rich neighbors. For they will pay you back, and that will be your only reward. 13 Instead, give to the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind. 14 Then at the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for giving to those who could not repay you.”

1 Peter 5:4

4 And when Jesus appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor.

Proverbs 22:9

9 Blessed are those who are generous,
   because they feed the poor.

Matthew 5:34-40

34 “Then Jesus will say, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. 36 I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’

37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

40 “And Jesus will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

Hebrews 13:16

16 And don’t forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God.

1 Thessalonians 2:19

19 After all, what gives you hope and joy, and what will be your proud reward and crown as you stand before your Lord Jesus when he returns? It is you and what you have done!

Proverbs 14:31

31 Those who don’t help the poor insult God,
but helping the poor honors God.

Proverbs 19:17

17 When you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord—
   and God will repay you!
